The heart of Hadarak Fel had barely stopped beating when the violence in the entryway began. On the Hos Dynasty side, Lady Ashe, Navigator Letscher, Lieutenant SalomeSalome Beyea and Bodyguard Bellehumeur attempted to reach their master to find out what was going on, while Astropath Eckhart, Navigator Maturinus, Sarvus and Zacharya Caine, along with a pair of Honour Guard stood against them.
Maturinus and Letscher engaged in a titanic Navigator duel, while Bellehumeuer appeared to take some sort of concotion of drugs that boosted his endurance and will to the point where not even Eckhart nor the Hellguns of the Honour Guard could pierce him, and only the augmented body of Caine stood a chance of damaging him. Ashe single-handedly forced her way to the door of Hos’s chamber ignoring Sarvus’s attempts to restrain her, and blasted it down with one of her digital weapons. Lieutenant Salome took advantage of Eckhart’s distraction to attach some sort of weapon that all-but-incapcitated him, and caused his him incredibly mental agony.
Hos, alerted by the door being blown away with a Melta originally ordered Duke Morrow to assess the situation, before attempting to command the warring factions to stop. Unfortunately, the Honour Guard and Sarvus incapcitated Lady Ashe, and when Lieutenant Salome attempted to turn to rescue her commander, Eckhart managed to focus long enough to slam a plasma bolt into her head, and Sarvus quickly finished her off. Bonnehumeur’s drugs likewise began to wear off, and Caine was able to finish him off.
All was not well though, as Navigator Maturinus shockingly lost the duel, and was knocked unconscious, before quickly being taken hostage by Navigator Letscher. The female Navigator attempted to negotiate for her life until Eckhart realised she was stalling for the Fallen Hand’s Teleportarium to activate, and attempted to unleash a psychic assault on her. The female Navigator proved faster though, and his psychic attack was changed into a titanic eplosion of energy that knocked out the remainder of the Hos Dynasty… except for Sarvus. Though Letscher tried to regain her hostage in Maturinus, she was not fast enough and Sarvus reduced her to Ashe.
Nonetheless the message had gone through to orbit, and Sarvus frantically searched for a way to prevent Ashe from being teleported away, but unable to do so was forced to kill her as well. The Hos Dynasty took to the Void and joined up with the Unrelenting Fury of the Void. The Svard void defenses were probably capable of destroying the visiting Fel/Winterscale forces, but they seemed intent on running. A single Winterscale Frigate surrendered when it had taken a lot of damage, and the Fel Hand was boarded by the Fury of the Void, and without its senior staff the crew stood no chance to resist the Hos Dynasty boarders.
Ultimately the raid produced a large amount of treasure for the Dynasty, and even more valuably Sarvus was able to crack the Fel valut to retrieve the sacred Warrant of Trade. As they debated how best to exploit this, Lady Sun Lee made contact from Silence to discuss what had happened, as she had been present – if silent – for the whole thing. She proposed using her influence to meet with Calligos Winterscale for a peace conference, but as he would likely still insist on annexing Svard this was ruled out. Instead the Dynasty turned their thoughts to consolidating their forces, and preparing to weather the war that was no doubt coming…
