The Cold Trade cannot operate in a single fixed area, as to do so would be far too dangerous and expose them to a lot of scrutiny. The bulk of their trade arrangements are done inside of the Mist Fleets, a large group of vessels, primarily transports or Escort-vessels that set up drops on the outskirts of dead systems.

Their movements are presumably known to other members of the Cold Trade, but no one else is known to be able to contact them. It is heavily suspected that they also have converted several vessels of Xenos origins to be compatible with human pilots in order to better disguise their intentions.

The salvaged Aquila Ascendent has been confirmed as a vessel of the Mist Fleet.
