Battlefleet Captain who has been disciplined for her intiative

Description:

One of the captains of Battlefleet Koronus assigned to Long Patrols in the Expanse, Sylvia Locke has spent several years on extended deployment in The Accursed Demesne monitoring and battling the Orks. During one particular battle her vessel was left heavily damaged, and she put out a cry for help that was eventually answered by Commander Daniel Keel. Together they disrupted a massive Orkish fleet and returned intact if not safely, but were both disciplined for disobeying orders.

While awaiting the results of her disciplinary action, she was assigned to patrol the Damaris system, thought to be a safe and peaceful rest area. This was disproven as an Orkish invasion eventually came to the planet, and Captain Locke rose to the occassion and has been successfully leading the void defense of the system.

Prone to overlooking the letter of order in favour of what she views as the spirit of her duty, she is a proud and unyielding woman, and a firm believer in the Imperial faith.

Following the invasion of Damaris she has since been “promoted” to Imperial liaison at Footfall, a position widely regarded as a punishment for dereliction of duty. She has also had her cruiser taken away, and given the Pugnatus Imperator for the duration, and has been subject to the ridicule of all of Footfall.

Captain Locke is a very headstrong member of the Imperial Navy. It has come to my attention that during a certain Action she disobeyed orders, although she succeeded they demoted her for disobeying orders. This has lead to her posting on the Ageis. Although somewhat idealistic she has excellent tactical acumen.

Captain Locke seems to be a wealth of knowledge on the habits and history of the Imperial Navy in the Expanse. As well as its general history. She has indicated that this invasion could simply be a ploy by a younger Warboss to make a name for himself by conquest. It is not unheard of for Orkish fleets to do so. Although it would seem they usually prefer to target planets further out in the Expanse. Perhaps if we ever reach this Warboss we could get some answers out of him.
