The “Redshirts” have been reconstituted. The first time the Platoon was created they were unfortunately destroyed by the Messenger. It is now that they have been rebuilt as a rag-tag group of people volunteering from captured vessels and from members of the populace of Svard who wished for a more exciting life. Understandably this has lead to some discipline problems in the unit. However the jokes about “Redshirts” are not true, the name stems from the fact that they plan to stain the blood of enemies of Hos on the nice white shirts. They now have a focus on survivability.
